Every academic year, the English department’s creative writing program conducts a university-wide competition that seeks to award the best undergraduate work in creative nonfiction, fiction, and poetry. Congratulations to this year’s deserving recipients!
Held on Monday, April 21, the 34th Annual English Department Awards reception provided students the opportunity to be personally recognized by faculty members while accepting competitive scholarships and awards for creative artistry, literary excellence, and professional writing.
The Creative Writing Program recently announced the undergraduate winners of the Creative & Performing Arts Scholarship for the 2024-2025 academic year in creative nonfiction, fiction, and poetry.
Submissions are open! The Creative Writing Program is conducting its annual university-wide creative writing competition through Friday, October 4, 2024.
Across the board, English undergraduates and graduates hold a total of 183 University and departmental scholarships and 6 literary awards for the 24-25 academic year. In addition, the English Department selected 16 winners of the Creative and Performing Arts Awards.
