Colorado State University Creative Writing MFA alumna Abigail Chabitnoy has won the 2020 Colorado Book Award for Poetry. The award is for her poetry book — which also was her master’s thesis — How to Dress A Fish. In the book, Chabitnoy grapples with her identity through the history of her grandfather and his forced assimilation at Pennsylvania’s Carlisle School.
