Biography

Maurice Irvin is originally from the Midwest and grew up in Bloomington, Illinois. He attended Illinois Wesleyan University for his undergraduate degree in English-Writing and Colorado State University for his graduate degree in Creative Writing. He has been teaching at CSU since 2011, and his teaching interests include first-year composition/writing, including CO130 and CO150, and upper division composition/writing, including CO300 and CO301B. Maurice’s fiction, published in The South Carolina Review, Portland Review, and Natural Bridge, among others, has been nominated for consideration in The Best American Short Stories.
