Biography

Liz Ramirez is a writer and MFA student at Colorado State University. Recently transplanted to Colorado from Texas, her poem “et tu,” published in OyeDrum Magazine, was nominated for the 2021 Pushcart Prize & Best of the Net. Her flash essay "First Lesson," which won second prize in Women on Writing's 2022 Quarter 4 creative nonfiction contest, is taken from her master’s capstone project, “Latinish: Essays on Mixed Identity,” where she writes about family, racial hybridity, and liminality in Mexican identity.
