At CSU, John teaches E311B: Intermediate Poetry Workshop and CO150: College Composition, recently graduating from CSU's MFA program in Poetry. He has also taught E210: Beginning Creative Writing, and worked as an Upper School English Teacher at the Moses Brown School in Providence, RI, earning his MAT at Brown University. John's writing interests include the non-human world, death, mythology, and memory, his current book project exploring how death and loss can be sites of transition and rebirth, often in tandem with the natural world.

John's recent poetry appears in EcoTheo Review, North American Review, Quarterly West, Bellevue Literary Review, and ellipsis...literature and art, and has been supported by the Community of Writers Workshop and the Bread Loaf Environmental Writers' Conference.
