Biography
John (he/him) teaches E311B: Intermediate Poetry Workshop, E210: Beginning Creative Writing, and CO150: College Composition, recently graduating from CSU's MFA program in Poetry. Before that, he was an editorial assistant at Poet Lore in Bethesda, MD, and worked as a high-school English teacher at the Moses Brown School in Providence, RI.
John's writing interests include death, mythology, and memory, his current book project exploring death as a site of caregiving, transition, and rebirth, in tandem with the more-than-human world. His recent poetry appears or is forthcoming in Orion, Ecotone, Poet Lore, EcoTheo Review, North American Review, Quarterly West, Bellevue Literary Review, and elsewhere, and has been supported with scholarships from the Community of Writers Workshop and the Bread Loaf Environmental Writers' Conference.
