Biography
Joe Schicke was born in St. Louis, MO and grew up in Memphis, TN. He moved to Ft. Collins in 2007, earned a Master's degree in English from CSU in 2011, and taught writing courses at community colleges for nine years. Since coming to CSU in 2020, Joe has taught various lower and upper division courses in the University Composition Program. He is currently a PhD candidate in Technical Communication and Rhetoric at Texas Tech University.
Joe's areas of interest are rhetorical theory, multimodality, genre studies, material rhetoric, writing pedagogy, alternative grading, and assessment. In addition to his scholarly pursuits, Joe is a singer/songwriter, guitarist, bandleader, and session musician.
