Biography

Born in Fort Collins, raised here and there and all over the globe, cookie is a cosmopolitan queer with a global analysis and flair for local grassroots. Both the physical apical meristems of plant assemblages, but also the work that is messy and emergent and community-oriented. cookie excels in the interstices and thinks science and art are only different under the regimes of neoliberal hyperindividualization, commodification and extraction. cookie uses any pronouns and is always working on the peony mystery school project, always digger deeper into effective composition pedagogy praxes, and is often engaged in research, performance art, writing, critical reflection, making kin with critters, and taking care of little humans.
