Biography
Hello! My name is Michelle Tedford and I am originally from Connecticut! All my life I've had a passion for writing and reading. My undergrad was in English, and my first Master's was in Early Childhood Education. I have been in education for over ten years in every position. I've been a para-educator, a substitute teacher and a certified teacher- I taught Kindergarten for one year. I'm back again at Graduate school to pursue the degree I really should have pursued.
Just a little about myself. I have 3 dogs back home in CT that live with the rest of my family. I love animals especially dogs, I also enjoy napping, pop culture, listening to music especially emo and kpop, watching TV ( this includes K-dramas- or even any type of Asian dramas,) writing, reading, and poetry. I also love learning about random things and often tend to fall into a Wikipedia hole.
First Generation Story
I am a first generation college graduate. My father and mother never finished their degrees. My mother chose to work and then emigrated to the U.S. from Malaysia. My father never finished his degree because he chose to work to support his growing family. My parent's instilled in my siblings and I that higher education is important, they even encourage us to get post graduate degrees too.
