- MA in English
Lindsay Brookshier teaches composition in the English department including CO150 (College Composition) and CO300 (Writing Arguments). She received her MA in Literature from Colorado State University and her graduate research focused primarily on gender studies in Chaucer/popular fantasy fiction. Currently, her research interests are centered on integrating technology into the composition classroom and how this addresses student professional needs in the current job market. Being a first generation college student and one of the first in her family to graduate college- she understands the challenges first generation students experience.
Lindsay is also a freelance writer for various online websites and magazines writing on topics ranging from Disneyland travel guides to the outdoor culture in Colorado. She is the editor and main contributing writer of a popular Disney parks travel guide website called Mickey Visit. In the summer, she works with elementary school aged kids in summer programs through the school district.
Lindsay has an eight year old son that is a Minecraft expert and a Morkie that looks good in cardigans. She grew up in Colorado but did her undergraduate degrees in Wisconsin so it's not uncommon to hear a few 'oh sures' and 'don't cha knows' from her. She enjoys spending her time hiking with her son, researching Disney Instagram culture, and reading fantasy fiction.
