Biography
Aly Welker is a Master Instructor in the English Department at Colorado State University, teaching College Composition, Writing Arguments, Writing in Digital Environments, Writing in the Sciences, and Principles of Digital Rhetoric & Design.
As the Assistant Director of Upper Division Composition, Aly works to cultivate curriculum design and professional development opportunities for faculty teaching upper-division courses. She additionally serves as the Online Coordinator for the English department.
Aly's research interests include online writing instruction, rhetorical empathy, focus group research, and the joy of teaching. She has published articles in Dialogic Pedagogy and the Journal of Composition Theory.
Aly grew up in Fort Collins but went to school in New York City and Florence, Italy before returning home to teach at CSU!
