Workshop description: Narrowing your focus is critical to the process of writing research. Research that explores a niche topic, especially when presented through precise language and fully developed writing, is more likely to engage your audience and be accepted for publication, ultimately contributing your unique perspective to the broader conversation in your field of research. Come discuss strategies for narrowing the focus of your research, finding the right language for your topic, and incorporating existing literature to support your niche perspective – wherever you are in the process of writing and revising your research paper.
This workshop is a part of a “Writing for Research” series – a collaboration between The Writing Center and the Journal for Undergraduate Research and Scholarly Excellence (JUR) brings you a workshop series to help students turn their class research paper, senior or honor thesis into a manuscript to submit for publication.
RSVP to workshop on Ramlink.
