On April 1st from 4:00pm-5:00pm in Eddy 4, Virginia Chaffee, Karen Montgomery-Moore, Aly Welker, Amanda Memoli, and Kelly Bradbury will facilitate our April Meta Monday conversation titled “Dialogue Across Difference in Every Day Classroom Situations: Using Inclusive Response Strategies in Challenging Conversations.” In this activity-based conversation, Virginia, Karen, Aly, Amanda, and Kelly will help us apply active listening and dialogue strategies to several case studies of common challenging student-teacher conversations. I’m also told we’ll be practicing these strategies through some fun role playing.

Our final Meta Monday of the semester will be on May 1st—a Wednesday—and we’ll be having an ice cream social to honor the end-of-the-semester. I will be facilitating this Meta Monday with Nancy Henke and Sue Doe titled “Myth Busting Rhetoric and Composition.” Look for a survey coming in April where you can ask your own questions, anonymously, about rhet/comp. We’ll answer your questions on May 1.

Whether you teach CO130, CO300, or another class entirely, we’d love to have you join us.
