Workshop description: While research is an academic pursuit, you are still writing to your audience. Making your research relevant to the ongoing conversation in your field must consider different factors like tone, style, and overall composition that affect the way that readers, researchers, and editors will receive the information you’re putting forth. Learn how to better tailor your articles so that your information is well received and more likely to be understood by key audience while avoiding just summarizing other research in the field. Come find tips like: how to pick your journal, how to adjust to expectations, and how to handle rejects, resubmits, and get you to the finish line.
This workshop is a part of a “Writing for Research” series – a collaboration between The Writing Center and the Journal for Undergraduate Research and Scholarly Excellence (JUR) brings you a workshop series to help students turn their class research paper, senior or honor thesis into a manuscript to submit for publication.
RSVP to panel on Ramlink.
