The English Department offers a robust schedule of live events throughout each semester at Colorado State University. Most of the entries on this calendar are free of charge and open to all. They aim to cultivate diverse communities around common interests while fostering exchange of ideas.

Erika Szymanski, assistant professor of rhetoric of science in the Department of English, uses language to make the invisible visible. That’s a challenge when you study microbes. the trajectory of human civilization is intertwined with microbes that we cannot see. How do we understand that concept? Szymanski uses words. She will speak at CSU as part of the Microbiome Network seminars on Feb. 12.
