Mary Szybist won the 2013 National Book Award for Poetry for her collection Incarnadine, which was described by the award’s judges as “a religious book for nonbelievers.”
She has also been published in esteemed literary journals such as Colorado Review, Tin House, and Virginia Quarterly Review, as well as anthologized in Best American Poetry 2008.
