A bit more about the program:
During this five-week CSU faculty-led summer program, students will be matched with Oxford professors for one-on-one tutorials (3 credits) in their field of interest. Students are affiliated with Oxford’s New College and enjoy multiple day-long field trips to complement their coursework. Participants also learn about William Shakespeare through experiential study of his works in the CSU course, “Shakespeare in Oxford” (3 credits). This is a separate course from the Shakespeare courses in the English Department.
Highlights of the program include field trips to see performances at the Globe Theatre in London, and by the Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford-upon-Avon. In Oxford, students have access to the Duke Humphrey’s Library at The Bodleian, known by many as the library of Hogwarts, art at the Ashmolean Museum, and more.
English majors and minors at any point in their college career with a minimum GPA of 3.2 are eligible to apply. The final application deadline is February 15.
