Welcome back to the blog! After a good full month of getting back into step with the Creative Writing dance here at CSU, it’s time to start broadcasting the voices of the incredible folks that make up our MFA program.

So much is going on in the halls of Eddy: manuscripts are being passed around, books are being discovered, and familiar and new faces can be found around every corner or office nook.

We have a new director, Andrew Altschul who will surely carry us to victory this season, and take us all the way to the Super Bowl…oh, wrong field.

The Reading Series is promising to be stellar, bringing a host of dazzling writers to CSU.

And introducing…Ramona Ausubel, our new faculty member with a breathtaking list of accolades and awards. We welcome her to this program of wild thinkers, close-knit marginalia buddies, and gangs of graduate students in their mad rush to the copier.

Now, this new assistant to the director will give it over to the writers that make up this program. I’m so excited to hear their thoughts about the program and writing life.

Elena Brousard-Norcross is a second-year MFA candidate in fiction from Wisconsin. She would love to round out her writing life with a pet raccoon. | Elena.Brousard-Norcross@colostate.edu
