Biography

Kat has lived in Northern Colorado most of her life and enjoys the outdoors when she can bear to put down the book she's reading. She is often writing or reading in coffee shops and tea houses around Fort Collins and Loveland. Her husband, Nathaniel, and their cat, Betty, are happiest when they are all cuddling on the couch at home, watching the latest Star Wars saga.

Her journey in higher education began here in Fort Collins at Front Range Community College, where she earned her A.A. She then earned her B.A. in German Language with a Minor in Linguistics from the Metropolitan State University of Denver. Kat is currently working on her M.A. in English with a concentration in TEFL/TESL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language and Teaching English as a Second Language).

She enjoys teaching CO-150, learning about her students, and seeing each of their unique approaches to writing.

"They cannot stop me. I will get my education, if it is in the home, school, or anyplace.”
