Biography

Associate Professor. B.A., French and Comparative Literature, M.A., English, University of Wisconsin Milwaukee; Ph.D., English and Critical Theory, University of Virginia.

Professor Trembath teaches literary and critical theory, English and comparative literature, and interdisciplinary humanities. His specialty is contemporary critical theory and its historical backgrounds. A contributing editor of Postmodern Culture, Professor Trembath is especially interested in critical discussions that address ways of rethinking aesthetics, textuality, and sense. His essays and reviews have appeared in The Journal of Aesthetics and Art Criticism, Postmodern Culture, Minnesota Review, Strategies, The International Journal of Educational Reform, Philosophy and Literature, and other academic journals.
