TEFL/TESL Graduate Student Association

Additionally, this graduate program offers students with opportunities for getting involved in the community and exercising leadership skills through the TESL/TEFL Graduate Student Organization (GSA)–a CSU registered student organization.

The purpose of the TESL/TEFL is “to promote linguistic and cultural diversity and raise awareness about the field of TESL/TEFL in the Colorado State University community and the greater Fort Collins community.”

The M.A.in annual event of the TESL/TEFL GSA is “TESL/TEFL Advocacy,” which takes place during the Spring semester.” This event offers students with an opportunity to conduct events on and off campus to advocate for the field of TESL/TEFL and English language learners. Past speakers who have delivered talks during this event have been Dana Ferris, Andrew Cohen, Eli Hinkel, Rebecca Field, and Paul Matsuda. Family Literacy Night has been the most successful off-campus event.
